Faced
with having to get the container to Hull, Ron Jenkins,
from Eastern Container Services, Thurrock has kindly
agreed to assist with the transportation of our container
for this leg of its journey. A very generous offer,
we’re sure you’ll agree. Thank you.
A
big thank you from all of us to Mr Biagioni of ‘Fellas
Bros’ in Hornchurch who came to our rescue with
the offer of help on storage.
Someone
who is ‘Mad About Books’ is Millie Patel
of Hodder
& Stroughton Educational.
Sending her best wishes, she has
arranged for some books to be delivered. Brilliant news.
We
have Gordon Allan, Operations Director of Glowworm
Books Ltd to thank for the lovely books
he sent for the children of Waya.
We
were also very grateful to the Hornchurch Rotary Club
who kindly donated £200 towards our project.
The
Jack Petchey Foundation is a charity which
was formed in 1999. It is eager to help young people
take advantage of opportunities and play their part
in society especially those struggling with 21st Century
problems. We are delighted to report that we were awarded
a total of £2000 towards our project. Our sincerest
thanks.
Just

Yorkshire aims to encourage the development of basketball
as a sport, for everyone to enjoy, at any level. The
children of Waya were so thrilled when they received
the portable basketball system and… wait for it…
30 basketballs, kindly donated by Just Basketball Limited.
Many, many thanks.
Our
thanks also to Brenda and Ken Rhodes of Ken
